This is the easiest DIY (Do It Yourself) that you can do and can also involve kids. It turns out to be really useful and even looks beautiful. You can keep it as a stand in your living area or can even hang it on the wall. It surely will help you decorate your room and in a helpful way.

Things required – A piece of cardboard, a few ribbons, decorative paper, stapler and glue.

Step 1 – Take a piece of cardboard. You can take a thin one which can be easily stapled.

Step 2 – Cover it with a decorative paper.

Step 3 – Take a few colourful ribbons or any ribbon of your choice.

Step 4 – Cut the ribbons in the size of the cardboard and staple them at the ends. Repeat it for all the ribbons till you cover the piece of cardboard. I have used 9 pieces of thin ribbons. It can vary as per the size of the cardboard.

Step 5 –  After you staple all the ribbons, cover the rear side of the cardboard with another piece of decorative paper.

Step 6 – Stick a small piece of ribbon in V-shape and let it dry. This can be used to hang the piece on the wall. If you want to use it as a stand, stick another piece of carboard to provide support to stand.

Your “Shades Holder” is ready. Insert as many shades in the ribbons as you want and they’ll remain safe. This makes it look beautiful and it can be used as a decorative piece too. You can hang it near the entrance or along side your key-holder. Grab your keys and shades together every time you step out.

Hope you will try this at home and place it in your favourite corner. Let me know how it turns out.
