He came from a small village and lead a simple life with a big heart. A true gentleman, a doting dad, the most handsome, chivalrous, polite, kind, calm and cheerful. He was our strength and we were his pride. He took interest in all our endeavors, taught us to keep going and never give up.
He encouraged me to make my own decisions and gave me the confidence to try new things. I was not afraid of failures because he was there. He believed in learning and when we moved to a different city, he learnt how to use a smartphone, to make a video call, chat and also, how to react with an emoji. His choice of emoji would sometimes leave us in splits! Today, we remember all the laughter and the good times spent together. There was never a dull moment with him around.
Some days are hard, especially when it marks a year. Though emotionally it is difficult, yet we would like to keep his memory alive in a unique manner and in a way that he would have absolutely loved. I am glad I shared this idea with him a long time ago, when there was no plan, no structure, just an idea and he was happy about it.
