The Year that it Was – 2021

2021 started off on a quiet note, with not much zeal to do anything. Life isn’t the same without dad. I also couldn’t visit my family and all of these together was crushing me internally. Am grateful to a bunch of friends who took care of me during my difficult time and ensured I kept going. That helped and gradually I got a little strength to do what I love to do.

Though 2021 was difficult in many ways, it is ending on a positive note. Getting back to work after seven long years was a fulfilling moment. With mom and dad both being government employees, this came as a proud news for the family. Mom’s smile was everything. I wish I could see dad’s smile too.

Launched “SKR and Daughters” in the memory of our father where we are raising funds for cancer patients by selling our paintings and recycled craft items. We lost our dad to cancer last year and this is one of the many ways in which we are keeping him alive in our hearts.

More power to the tribe and best wishes for the next year.

Every happiness, every festival, every single day is incomplete without dad. The grief keeps hitting me like waves and I know it is going to stay with me forever.

A heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who kept me in thoughts, shared a kind word, a helping hand, a warm hug and made it a little easier for me to see another year.

May the new year bring happiness, peace and good health for everyone.

  1. I am glad that you are coming back to the rhythm of life slowly. We only want to see you smiling always Rashi. Grateful for your valuable contribution to my initiative. Wishing you Happy New Year 2022.

  2. I am sure that things must have been difficult for you. I could sense that in the tone of your writing. But, what’s most inspiring for me is the way you have bounced back. Quite a journey there! Your dad must be so proud of you, Rashi. Sending good vibes and a warm hug your way. 🙂
