Though reading has always been a thing that gives me utmost happiness, I have no clue why didn’t I ever try a reading challenge! I am choosy about picking books, more so because I cannot leave a book unfinished, just like movies, I watch even the flop movies till the end. A different kind of reader indeed, let’s see how well I take up my first ever reading challenge.

When Blogchatter came up with #TBRChallenge at the beginning of this month, I made sure not to miss this one. Blogchatter campaigns are fun and I have participated in a lot of them like A-Z Challenge, My Friend Alexa, Ebook Carnival, Lights Camera Chatter and this year I have registered for Cause A Chatter too.

For a reading challenge, one has to set a goal and then read that many books in the entire year. I took help from the community to decide my target and am sharing it here so you can refer to it if it’s also your first reading challenge. Based on the suggestions, I have set a target of 12 books and if everything goes well, I wish to achieve it too.

Coincidently, I also began my 2021 blogging with a book review. When the author reached out to me to review her debut novel, I was more than happy to do that. You can read the book review here – Aashi

Am the happiest when my friends from the writing community come up with their books. It takes a lot of effort behind writing a book and as friends, the little that we can do is to read and review their books. I have proudly picked up two such books for my TBR Challenge and soon you’ll find the reviews on my blog. Here are the links for you to check –

You, Me & The Universe by Manas Mukul

Kiss of the Wildflower and Other Stories by Deepika Sharma

In case you are looking for more such books from within the community, you have to look nowhere and head straight to the playlist of my YouTube show “Razzmatazz with Rashi” which has an extensive list of 50 Episodes with books from different genres.

2020 proved to be the darkest year of my life. All my happiness and achievements came crashing down when I lost my dad. He was the proudest of everything I did. I am no more motivated to do anything, if am doing, it is just an effort to keep making him proud.

Hope reading does its magic and helps me sail through.

  1. If reading has always been a comfort, it will provide you solace in this difficult time too. I have always been amazed of the various hats you wear with elan.
Also loved the way you took the community’s help in choosing your target.
Let’s read some great books this year!
