Book Review
The cover of the book is beautiful and it looks relatable as you start reading the chapters. The book has eleven chapters, depicting the eleven shades of love and relationships. The characters are sketched based on the day-to-day scenarios ranging from college sweethearts to office romance to absolute strangers speaking over the phone and eventually falling in love.
The chapters are short, crisp and written keeping in mind the modern day relationships. The character names are chosen well and fit to the different characters described. I particularly loved a few stories and the variations portrayed clearly making every chapter different from the other. How ego ruined the love that could have blossomed between Reema and Abhay, how Shalini and Samar’s career aspirations delayed their coming close to each other, how a wrong number proved right in every way, the warmth in the love Maya and Feroz had for each other, how Susan proved that love is the strongest power, the determination shown by Ramya and Ibrahim, how living with your ex feels like and how it is to live with your dearest one’s memory. The language used by the author is simple which makes it even more relatable.
The icing on the cake would have been an end note describing how each story is different yet connected by a common thread called love. Also, some of the stories could have been a bit lengthier because as a reader I felt like reading more. Each story is crafted well and it makes it a fast-paced read, one that you can enjoy reading while having a cup of coffee. “It’s All Called Love” surely gets a thumbs up from me.
