Story – 2

I – Interact Club

(Story shared by Rahul Patki)

Rahul shares an incident from his school. When he was in Class-X, his school introduced five new clubs and he got the honour of becoming the President of Interact Club.

The club started carrying out various social and eco-friendly activities reinforcing the concept of sustainable development. They celebrated Joy of Giving week and initiated it by visiting ‘Arpan’ – a centre for education and progress of the differently-abled.

For most of the students it was the first time they interacted and spent time with differently-abled kids. They were greeted with broad smiles and they also displayed their sportsmanship by playing various games with them.

The activity ended by giving gifts to the children and brightening up their day. However, in real sense, meeting the children from ‘Arpan’ was an enlightenment for all the students. It was an experience for a lifetime that they would cherish forever.

More schools should come up with this initiative of giving an opportunity to their students to visit NGOs and spend time with them. It would definitely bring some change in their lives and make them do good.

Do Good, Share Goodness.

  1. Kudos for Internet Sathi and Interact Club. Nowadays Internet is a need. They are helping people to learn about that. And more than this Interact club is filling the gap between the so-called normal people and God’s blessed children. Kudos for you too Rashi! You are spreading goodness by sharing the goodness. A very good feeling to connect with you through your posts. Keep continuing the good work!

  2. Internet Sathi is an extremely inspiring initiative. Our rural population especially women need to be brought up to date with the internet and also need to be made tech-savvy. And it is definitely heart-warming that some initiative is being taken to educate the children who are able and privileged to take an interest in the differently-abled. Both were heart warming stories.

  3. Hello….
Great efforts by internet SATHIS …. KUDOS…. only what I feels that the ladies from rural should also aware of correct use of internet in their daily routine… And the government also should be able to provide the facility in most rural part of India…. That may be the another BUILDING NATION WISELY….

  4. Both examples you mentioned are well thought of. Women from rural areas, once they become net savvy, can do a lot of things to improve their lives and livelihood. Similarly, children if given an opportunity to interact with NGOs that are working for the underprivileged, and dispossessed, may open their eyes to other aspect of life.

  5. Internet Sathi – very good initiative. Keep it up .
    Interact club – Nice work.
    👌👌👌👌👌👍👍

  6. Both are lovely stories, but I’m especially impressed with the work of the internet saathis. The internet can really be an effective tool of empowerment.

  7. My daily dose of goodness. A wonderful initiative – internet sathi. I remember being a part of such an interactive club during my initial working days. Itni duaein leke kaha jayengi 😀

  8. So glad to know about such initiatives. Big ventures like Google and Tata have the power to inspire others to take such initiatives which will help so many underprivileged groups of people.

  9. These days knowing about Internet is a necessity and empowering women with the knowledge of this to make their livelihood seems to be a great initiative by the team. And visiting NGO’s or being a part of it really brings a change in one’s life.
