R – Ram Roti Seva

Team Sahay started as a social media group by a few professionals in 2017. Their mission is to collect old clothes and books and provide them to the needy. They also arrange for emergency blood donors and help people get job placements based on their skills.

 

“Ram Roti Seva” is one of their initiatives that they started in association with Jay Ho Seva Trust, under which they provide free meals to homeless people. Their efforts have been recognized by local and nation media.

R – Ride for a Cause

“Ride for a Cause” is an initiative under the Chained Musafirs Campaign where they gather volunteers for travelling to rural parts of India on bike. Their aim is to engage with the rural population for their empowerment and wellbeing. Biker activist Dipti K has been on a journey across India, spreading awareness about menstrual hygiene and breaking taboos surrounding it.

 

At all pitstops the team conducts workshops and donates free sanitary napkins. They have already covered Maharashtra, Kerala, TN and Telangana and planning to travel more.

  1. Wow! Team Sahay and Team Musafir are doing a fab job. These stories give the reason to think that feeling of goodness can share through any of the possible ways.

  2. Both Ram, Roti Aeva and Rice for a cause or seem to be doing excellent work. Someone has to take the initiative and educate rural women about menstrual hygiene. Even in urban areas the people belonging to the lower economic strata are under a lot of misconceptions. We need to educate people on a regular basis and make it a part of the education for girl children.

  3. Both are for causes that need a lot of work. Malnutrition is one of the primary causes of Death and lack of awareness about menstrual hygiene is rampant in our country, specially rural India. Kudos to both the organizations
