Q – Quest for Knowledge
(Story shared by Gunjan Gupta)
Sunita worked at Gunjan’s home as a housemaid for many years. Her daughter Sarika would accompany her mother every day. Instead of playing and loitering around, she would show her interest in studying. She would bring her school bag along with her and quietly sit and read her books.
Gunjan was highly impressed at her sincerity and started helping her with her studies. This continued for many years and she also helped her financially to ensure her education was not discontinued.
Today, that young girl has made everyone proud by not just completing her education but also becoming a teacher. She has proved it yet again that education never goes wasted.
Request everyone to pledge to educate just one child and together we can fight illiteracy.

Yes, education never goes for waste. My mother was supporting one of the girl’s at a foundation. Now she has become big, completed her studies and is doing very well. My mother feels very good about this.
The little girl’s quest for knowledge and education is commendable. Bow to her for graduating to a teacher. now she will mould young minds.

Education is a biggest we can give to a child which will remain with them forever, thought-provoking share Rashi!
Creating opportunity for people who are genuinely hungry helps making a better society. People hungry for education, makes extra effort to learn and move ahead.
This is wonderful Rashi! It’s so easily doable and will really herald a change in society:)
This is what we need to eradicate poverty and strengthen the cause of empowerment – supporting the cause of education. Really happy for that young girl and proud of Gunjan.
Totally agree dear, that’s the least we do for our society.
This girl will always keep Gunjan in her prayers, this is the power of goodness. Lovely post.
another wonderful post! loved it
Awesome contribution and sarika used it properly, congrats to both of them.
It is indeed a proud moment when the child you once helped in studies, makes something good out of his/her life. I somehow can identiofy with this feeling… Nice read ..
Few people have the capacity to win the world but sometimes they need little push in terms of financial support, mental health, etc. All we can do is extend our hand and make other life beautiful.
My mom does a lot of similar work. Really GOOD of you to bring out such stories. Keep inspiring.

Empowering girls with education is the best thing to do. So nice of you to spread the word.
Wow, so sweet of Gunjan. My mom always says that we should never say to people who seek education or food/water.
