For A to Z challenge this year, I have chosen to feature the “Authors of Razzmatazz” as it has always been a desire to not just interview the authors on my YouTube channel but also write about them. The idea is to feature as many authors I can, however, it won’t be possible to include them all. You can watch all the 100 episodes on my channel anytime.

About the Books

“Broken and Beautiful”

Priyanka says poetries are cathartic to her, this book is a collection of 36 English poems, written over a span of 3 years, portraying the perils of holding on, letting go and all the things in between, things no one talks about.  Writing gives hope and poems adds expression to the feelings and emotions.

This beautiful book has received wonderful reviews like the one here – “Broken and beautiful” has impressive and beautiful poems, I just kept reading them one after another in a rhythm. The poems do justice to the title of the book, broken is beautiful. The Poet gives a unique perspective for us to look at a broken heart, broken dreams, letting go, and many other such perils otherwise no one talks about. My favorite poems are, “In between” and “All I have is today” and “ I choose me” among many others. I recommend the book to everyone who wants a good read with a flow of beautiful, deep and fresh poems. The poet, being a mental health blogger , has written poems that are right from the heart and you can feel the poet’s emotion while reading each poem. I could relate with the emotions while reading the poems and the words used by the poet in her poems are remarkable. The handmade drawings included in the book are artistic and in sync with the theme of the poems.”

“Ardhaviram”

Her book “Ardhaviram” too has compelled reviewers to speak about it at length, just like this review – “I have been following the author’s work for quite some time now and even then, this book came as a surprise to me. Priyanka has penned her journey, moments, and struggles so beautifully that the reader feels a part of it. There is no escape from reality as her style of poetry is raw and hard-hitting. You will get to enjoy different moods and flavours throughout which also happens to be her USP. An explicitly expressive and master of melancholy, Priyanka has compiled the best of the best from her treasure of creative works this time. There is no way you can miss grabbing a copy right away and set the mood for an introspective weekend. 26 fantastic pieces of poetry spanning over 70 pages, she starts on a humble note wherein she denies being a writer but a firm voice. She takes us through the most common human emotions portrayed worldwide and the array of external and internal doubts. She displays the courage to speak about her struggles with the same ease as she does about her doubts and lost surroundings at times. The best part is the balance she has created between everything pulling her down and her quest to counterbalance those forces and stay afloat. Ardhaviram might seem like another poetic publication, but believe me, it has a plethora of tastes and learnings imbibed in it. I thoroughly enjoyed reading every poem and connected with the simplicity of writing and unadulterated thoughts laid bare.”

If you have read any of her books or have watched her episode on my channel, don’t forget to comment below.

Stay tuned for the next lovely author.
