X – Xenia
(Story shared by Siddharth Dabhowale)
Xenia is a Greek concept of showing hospitality, generosity and courtesy to strangers and people who are far from home.
Manoj Singh from Lucknow has been showing a similar gesture to strangers and has saved more than 60 lives in the last 27 years. It all started when his friend Pramod Tiwari was rammed by a car while returning from office. He died because nobody bothered to take him to the hospital. He laid unattended for two hours and died due to excess blood loss. Doctors said, they could have saved his life if somebody had brought him to the hospital earlier.
Manoj was shaken to the core at the death of his friend and it was then that he decided to help accident victims reach hospital in time and give their life a second chance. Many individuals have met and thanked him after they have recovered.
He is a teacher by profession and he also encourages his students to join him in his campaign. Instead of gathering around and taking photos of the accident spot, his students have also reached out to rush the injured to the hospital and thereby saving precious lives.
We appreciate his efforts and hope more and more people would be encouraged to follow his footsteps.

Woow I am inspired by manoj!! Loved the story!
Another story of human kindness and going out to help the needy.
I have read a story where a person used to criminate bodies who lay unattended on roads after the accident. He did it for nobody with expecting nothing in return. Such souls are really great!
Nice to know that there exists a God with X. Wonderful story with the pinch of goodness.
