Story – 1
N – Nick of Time
(Story shared by Mousumi Ghosh)
Mousumi’s parents stay in a small town, far away from her. Her father complained of chest pain and went to a nearby hospital along with his wife for a check-up. The doctor found something unusual and asked him to get admitted immediately.
While he was in the hospital he suffered a sever cardiac arrest. The doctor sensed the gravity of the situation and referred him to a multi-speciality hospital which was around 100 kms away. Her mother, who is in her late sixties and a patient herself couldn’t think of anything immediately.
One of their acquaintances, Digambar, came to know about the hospitalization and reached there at the nick of time. He immediately took all the responsibilities on his shoulder, accompanied them in the ambulance that took them to the hospital, connected with the doctors, did all the formalities and stayed there in the hospital with her mother.
Not just that, he took care of her mother too. He made her have some meals in between so that her health is not effected. He didn’t bother about his own family or work and stayed their like a pillar. It was only after Mousumi reached there, he handed over everything and left for his home.
Who does so much for a friend’s family? Mousumi and her entire family cannot thank him enough for saving her father’s life.
He did an incredible job in showing his act of goodness.

Story – 2
N – Necessities
(Story shared by Madhu Shah and Anushree Dabhowale)
Madhu’s son returned home from school and on his way he had a heat stroke. Even after taking all precautionary measures he was ill due to heat. It was then that she realized what the construction workers at her home must be going through by working all day in the sun.
She then made arrangements for water and placed three earthen pots in her corridor. She filled one pot with lemon-mint water and instructed her maid to give buttermilk to all the workers and their kids during the day. She also bought caps for all and strictly asked them to wear it while they work under the sun.
She ensured the safety of the workers and their children in the scorching sun and gave utmost importance to their health. Her act of kindness brought a smile to many faces.

Reading and sharing stories of goodness really help, Rashi. Not only do they give one ideas about what you could do to reach out a helping hand, they also make you realise that small gestures could mean a lot to someone. Kudos to you and everyone whose story you share!
Yes, that’s the whole idea behind this theme. Am glad its working. Thankyou so much 🙂
Both the stories touch the heart. I find the initiative taken by Digamber and also Madhu’s gesture of arranging for water for construction worker’s, including a cap very enterprising. Most people tend to just make token gestures. Very few go that extra mile to be really helpful. Your posts are really spreading a lot of goodwill and cheer.
Am glad am able to spread some positivity and cheer. Thankyou so much 🙂
Great! Humanity is the blessing and your stories make us believe that it is alive now. It’s a pleasure for me to start my morning daily with a very positive note through your posts. Thanks for sharing Rashi!

First one is good indeed but specially loved the second one, generally people dont give much attention to such people.
Yes, that’s true.
People like Digambar and Madhu prove that no all heroes wear cape. Some wear their hearts in their sleeves doing food ti the world.
Very true. Thankyou so much 🙂
Regular drinking of water and electrolyte is important for people working under sun. With sweat we lose water and salt. The balance must be restored. Madhu did the right thing.
Yes, Thankyou so much 🙂

Wonderful heart touching stories!
Wow, so sweet of Digambar. Yes, I like the fact that the basic necessities are being provided by Madhu. We too provide water and buttermilk for all the passersby on the street every summer. We make buttermilk with almost 5 Litres of curd. Water is provided throughout the year.
