For A to Z challenge this year, I have chosen to feature the “Authors of Razzmatazz” as it has always been a desire to not just interview the authors on my YouTube channel but also write about them. The idea is to feature as many authors I can, however, it won’t be possible to include them all. You can watch all the 100 episodes on my channel anytime.
“Razzmatazz with Rashi” is a YouTube show that gives a platform to the authors to introduce their books and share their writing journey. A book is a dream and on this platform we celebrate that journey of hard work and dedication. The show is the winner of the Global Book Community Awards 2020. It has become a trusted platform for authors and running successfully with four seasons and more than hundred episodes so far.
In today’s post we have Geetika K Bakshi
Geetika was featured on Razzmatazz with her books on Season 4. It is always a pleasure to have Geetika on the show and you can watch the casual chit chat we had. You will find the links to her books and social media in the description of the video.
About the Author
Geetika K Bakshi is currently employed as an interpreter and visa counsellor in an African mission at new Delhi. She is a language trainer and says, “to be honest in today’s world, experience provides more exposure and enhancement than academic knowledge. That makes me write everywhere I go. People think I am a boring person when they get to know about this hobby yet this a passion to me. Later when they meet me more, more sides of me I reveal and definitely they end up changing the perception for me. Indeed I am not the person to be loved at first sight, once you have an insight you’ll probably love/ like me from every sight.”
She has written two books till now, ‘Ibiza – Love in Words’ and ‘Jashn an Awakening’ and is working on her third book. She is also a script writer for corporates and theatre groups.
About the Books
‘Ibiza – Love in Words’
A poetry collection! It is a set of poetry cards, each carrying the same emotion as the one displayed in this picture! They come as 220 Gsm card stocks. This #Poetard (poetry in card set) is a must have for poetry lovers! A perfect gift for yourself and someone who loves to read poetry, poetards are a new form of expressing the most beautiful form of literature! The set comes in the same packaging as displayed!
The book has received lovely reviews like the one here – “A rather sweet compilation of thoughts that makes for a quick read. The emotions covered have been presented in a format that is easily assimilated. As rightly touched upon in the poem – The swollen pride, it is best to stay optimistic and focus on the journey ahead. All things that are part of this life will gradually fall in place. Warm wishes for your next.”
‘Jashn an Awakening’
“In our society, even alcoholism, drug addiction are treated as illnesses and people are entitled to be counselled, but if I tell anyone about my thing, I’ll be judged in every aspect for sure. Some people might even cross-check the date to match my visit with the day a petty or huge theft happened at their places,” exclaimed Shubhavi.
“The shame and burden of being caught as a shoplifter cannot be erased ever; never, people will become hawk around you throughout life.”
Such is the shame Shubhavi and women like her face in society, leading their lives with a bleak future. Will this ever stop? Will these women take a stand for themselves against the stereotypes of society? Will their voice create a new beginning for the aspiring generation? Relatable sagas of women unfold as they plant a seed, a revelation; an awakening.
If you have read any of these books or have watched the episode on my channel, don’t forget to comment below.
