To vote is our duty and to encourage people to vote, many political leaders,

celebrities and prominent personalities are spreading its awareness through various media platforms. One such person came up with a novel idea to encourage others to vote.

Mr. Vijay Andharikar has taken up the responsibility on his shoulders. He can be seen commuting on his bike wearing a placard that promotes the importance of voting.

We appreciate his efforts and hope more and more people step out of their homes to cast their vote.

Vidyanagar Nature Club (VNC) is an NGO working for the cause of environmental protection. Their mission is to educate and spread awareness about the crucial need for environmental protection.

One such wonderful initiative is “Earth Mega Mall” where they lay emphasis on the 3Rs – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. They collect items like clothes, toys, books etc. which are not used at home anymore.

Instead of directly donating them, they display the items like in a mall or an exhibition and invite children from rural and remote schools to the Earth Mega Mall. Each student is then given currency in the form of Smilepoints and also the items are marked with Smilepoints as price tags. With 1500 Smilepoints in hand, the children get a lifetime experience of shopping as per their needs.

In November 2018, this event was organized, where they collected 17490 reusable items and more than 1000 students were invited from nearby rural areas. The children enjoyed roaming around in the mall and shopping for themselves.
