P – Presents
(Story shared by Gunjan Gupta)
Being an HR professional, Gunjan considers herself to be a privileged one to be a part of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities. On one such event, the company had asked an orphanage to send them a wish list. The children had sent a list of things they wanted, such as toys, clothes, stationery, sports items etc. The team then collected the things from the employees as donations.
They went an extra mile to wrap all the items with gift papers to make the kids happier. They also managed to arrange for some snacks and refreshment for the kids and the staff members of the orphanage. As expected, they were all very surprised and happy. The idea to wrap the gifts worked well and they loved it.
Though it was an official event, they added a personal touch to it and made it memorable not just for the kids but for themselves too. They spent the entire day with the kids, playing with them, clicking pictures with them and spreading beautiful smiles.

This is one rare case of a working HR. Jokes apart, I’m sure the gifts would have lit up the children’s faces that day. Great job.
That was such a warm gesture by the team . Your every post had something to learn and adapt Rashi , like I particularly remember that donate Sunday wala post. 👍👍
Making someone’s day gives immense pleasure and happiness. I am sure the children and the HR people must have been really happy.
This was a great effort. One more feather in the cap of Do good and share goodness.
Companies where CSR is taken seriously, can take inspiration from this story. A little attention goes a long way in boosting the confidence of these underprivileged kids.
Such a wonderful gesture. A similar event was organized in our office long back but we didn’t get to be part of the gift giving and celebration
Great initiative, giving back to society is every individuals responsibility.
wow, such a lovely gesture and I loved it. indeed small things make a major difference. the world would be better place if we all think in a postive way and do even a small positive thing for others every day.
Good to.see HR team working hard to help unprivileged kids happy. Sometimes these small things matter a lot.

This one touched my heart. Very positive!
Sometimes a gift is the smile of your loved one’s face and not just the materialistic things. Spending time with children is always rejuvenating.
HR team went an extra mile to bring happiness to the children:) Nice one👍
Awww im sure the smiles on the faces of those children must be priceless.
such great gesture, not on a corporate level but I do this often on my kids birthday, by going to an orphanage, the smile on their faces while opening the gifts is priceless.
I really liked this HR manager Gunjan. First time seeing somebody sincerely working in HR
